Island Žirje

Island in the west part of Sibenik’s islands, turn to the open sea side. The most high is a peak Kapie (134m). The coast is broken. The large bays are: Mikovica, Muna, Koromasna and Japlenisce on the northeast and Nozdra vela, Nozdra mala, Tratinska, Krusevica, Stupica vela, Stupica Mala and Kabal on the southwest. Žirje is only one village located in the inland. The route connect Žirje with Muna, where is harbour for fishing boats. Reminds of Byzantine forte from 6th century are situated at island.
